My advice is to leave him alone. Two people are always enough! When third person gets involved always supervene a lot of pain and confusion for everybody. that's what happen to me and my boyfriend- another girl "occupied his attention", i was not around him for about three mounts and he succumbed to temptation..When I came back he confessed me everything and begged me to forgive him. We are still together 'cause we both love each other very much...but God it still hurts!
So try never to stand between two people and eventually when you are sure that they no longer are together, then you should try with him.

step back and see how things play out between the 2 of them. if and when they breakup then take it slowly. don't jump in with both feet. go slow. you don't want t wind up without him. so step back and let things play out. good luck and i wish you the best.

You should back off a bit, for now. Then if they ever break up, then wait a week or two then try to ask him out. (Don't try to break them up or the guy might hate you for life.)

Leave that alone. You''ll feel better about yourself if you do.
