i don't know that i hate it exactly. i do, however, tend not to read really long answers but will follow a link at my own convenience when time permits. i believe people who answer that way are trying to be helpful in much the same way someone would explain the origins of a breed when you simply ask what kind of dog they have.

No, probably they have cut n pasted a clip that you, and your remarkable intelligence, just may have missed. If you had a seen a previous cut n paste then you maybe wouldn't have posted your question, would you Einstein? Or are you one of these that just wants someone too talk to?

My guess is that those who do that are trying to be as thorough as possible, and give an immediate answer, saving you the trouble of going to a second location. You could follow your questions with the request to keep answers to a paragraph, and to post the link if one is available.

I tend to get wordy sometimes but only when I feel I have several points to make and they're all important. I can also answer a question in just two or three lines :)

YES!!!!! I HATE reading really long answers...it's annoying...but at the same time it's nice that someone took the time to respond to my question. A shorter, to the point version works for me!

yea, it is a shame that people are going out of their way to help answer your questions, only for you to complain about their effort
