How many kinds, what are they, and are there any breeds that look almost exactly alike a breed of husky?

A Husky is a specific breed of dog - the Siberian Husky. You can read the breed standard for a thorough description here and a picture:

There are many breeds that look similar to a Husky, including the Alaskan Malamute (perhaps the most identical looking, only much larger than a Husky), Akita, Finnish Spitz, and Shiba Inu (similar in appearance but much, much smaller). Some say Samoyeds and American Eskimo dogs are similar as well, but they have much longer coats that are generally all white.

There is only one breed of husky, the siberian. But if you're talking about similar breeds, then there's the Alaskan Malamute and the Samoyed. There are also wolf-crosses, but those can be a difficult dog to handle.

There is only one breed of "HUSKY", and there are different colors (white/silver, white/grey, white/red, solid white possibly)

A Alaskan Malamute resembles a husky as far as markings, but much larger and a thicker coat.

Samoyed is very similar to a husky (solid white), but not a husky either.

The American Eskimo dog (much smaller and solid white) some might mistake for some sort of husky, but it isn't.

There are Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and Samoyeds are all AKC registered breeds that have the "Husky" look. There are also Alaskan Klee Kais, and Alaskan Huskies which both look like a small husky (they Klee Kais are very small).
