why do people make fun of me becuase i am a christan....?

They make fun of me they say look but i do listen to some bad music as the christan religon says.
well i dont get wat is so bad.

Hmmm..i listen to hip hop and r&b and i am christian..I just like the beat, i don't really pay attention to the lyrics. Unless the song is really emotional though.

2 Timothy 3:12 says those who live a godly life will be persecuted, if everyone likes you there is something wrong with your walk with God. I have been made fun of many times in my life but I stayed true to God and stayed true to myself and the blessing of this is I am in ministry and people respect those who are willing to be themselves and not some carbon copy or cookie cutter version of anyone else. You are made fun of because you are wishy-washy about your beliefs. You need to learn about your Faith and stand up for it. When people know where you stand, they will stop making fun of you. Love God with your whole heart mind and soul. If you say one thing and do another, you will attract just the sort of thing that you say you do not want. And, you must pray.

For instance, as a Christian, what do you think is the origin of Saint Valentine's Day? Who is Saint Valentine? What is good about celebrating that Saint's Day? Do you ever pray to Saint Valentine?

Lauren, We are to rejoice when others persecute us because it is Christ in us they are rejecting.
Remember the gospel of Christ is a gospel of grace, forgiveness and mercy. So while you may want to change the music you listen to that needs to be based on your love Jesus.
That is changing the music you listen to is what you do in response to His love, not as a way to secure His love.

Lauren, remember Jesus said that people would do that. He reminds us never to return evil for evil, and to bless those who persecute us. Many people do not understand the things that you do about Jesus. When He hung on the cross, there were people making fun of Jesus then, too. Don't concern yourself. "If God be for you, who can be against you"? Do not feel you have to defend yourself, let God be your defense. Continue to be loving, kind, merciful, compassionate, forgiving. This is what we are called to do. Let God take care of everything else.
