how can you get better soud quality from downlaods and burned cd's. is it better to burn the in a slower speed or is there better sound quality setting on the burner ect?

when you get downloads make sure you get them at a high bitrate. most mp3's are encoded at 128, which sounds great to most of us, but if you are picky you can just either rip them at a higher bitrate or download only the ones with 256kbps. this can be accomplished when ripping in either itunes or windows media player in the menu. if you are downloading look at the file properties ahead of time. also, creative's x-fi enhancer will allow greater artificial range for mp3's supposedly, but i don't put too much stock in that.
