Prefer a silly question to some derogatory answers. Witty answers for a bit of on line 'teasing' can be amusing. The nasty answers annoy me, the people that write them have such small imaginations and are unable to comprehend that the person asking the question may need help.

It is easy to see a 'silly' question that is meant to be amusing. Many 'silly' questions are obviously asked by people who's first language is not English. They have the ability to try to communicate with us in our own language. If they asked their questions in Spanish. Portuguese, Arabic or any one of 200 other languages how many of the rude responders would have the education to read them?

At a guess 0%

A question which sounds silly to you may not sound silly to others. A "silly" question shows how the asker is brought up in a different world to yours. Here I'm not talking about the social stratum but different languages and cultures. A derogatory answer shows how rude, opinionated and self-righteous the responder is. It annoys me because somebody makes rash criticisms to the other person of whom he knows nothing about.

noeusuper's answer hits the spot. People who write nasty answers have little imagination and are unable to comprehend that the askers really need help. This is especially true for askers whose original language is not english or americanism whatever.

derogatory answers-silly answers, i'm not too bothered or fussed about but when someone is being rude, nasty and insulting to the questioner, it is not just annoying but it demonstrates a lack of respect. plus, it is also uncalled for from them

Neither........... there are no silly questions.........especially to the person asking........ on the other hand, don't ask a question that you don't want answered honestly which may result in a derogatory answer..... ie, "Do these jeans make me look fat?"
