is global coast cruises one big scam??

Are you talking about a company called "Global Coast Cruises"? Or are you talking about cruises that travel up or down a coast? If you talking about the company Global Coast Cruises I would be wary. I checked a couple of sites (see below) and there was no mention of this company. I googled GCC and it seems there is a site that talks about jobs.

If you're looking for a job on a cruiseship, be aware that most cruiselines do not hire Americans except for possible kids' program counselors (and that's if you have a college degree in an education field and appropriate experience). That's because most of the lines are foreign flagged. The exception is NCL America, which is American flagged.

If you want to explore getting a job on NCL America or a job at the headquarters of a cruiselines (some are in Miami, Princess is in Santa Clarita, CA, and Holland is in Seattle), then you should go to the cruiselines's websites directly.

If you want to get into an entertainment job on a cruiseship, you should still check out the websites for Carnival, etc. directly and they may direct you to the proper website (there are some that do handle the management of performers...but be aware you do need experience).

I just wouldn't trust the GCC company if I were you.

I personally think it depends as you can do mny different areas and see many different ports of calls and most cruise lines stop outside of the state or the area they are cruising in and go to a forgein area, if you do a coastal cruise like in the states then I dont think they a scam but the global ones could possible be depending on the amount time spent in each destination and how many destinations and the length and price of the cruise.
