No, this is not what Christians believe about wet dreams. At least the vast majority of them. Apparently there are a few out there that do.
There are some types of Christians who like to see the devil in everything. Unfortunately this is what your mom has falled victim to. In fact it's even a matter of control for the pastor - to make people so terrified that they come to him to make it right.
The sad thing is that your mother is going to believe this until she chooses not to. She has become convinced, through the prowress of the pastor that this is the truth. Even worse, she has probably been told that anyone who disagrees is with Satan!
The only thing that you can do, from a Christian perspective is pray for her to know what is right and what is untruth. To be able to see her pastor for what he is. Until she is ready to extract herself from the grip of her pastor there is really not a whole lot else you can do.

I'm sorry that your mom has allowed her brain to be captured like this.
This idea about 'wet dreams' comes from the middle ages - tell her it's medieval catholic thinking, maybe that'll help her get ahold of her brain. Incubus and Succubus, that's what the minister thinks he's talking about.
I don't think many people still believe this - I think your mom is in a cult style church.
Do you really think you can talk sense to her? If so, get the book "misquoting jesus" and "101 myths of the bible" and learn about how the texts were assembled over the years, how stories are now known to have been added centuries after the death of christ, how the old testament Genesis stories are reworkings of egyptian myth - Moses was a high priest in an egyptian monotheistic cult and probably adapted the egyptian creation myth into the hebrew myth.
Your mom is a voluntary prisoner, ultimately.

It's an involuntary biological reaction, nothing more. I went to a protestant school growing up, and I've never heard anyone with that little grasp on reality.
Sounds like you're pretty young. I'd just nod and get out of the conversation as quickly as you can, and avoid topics like this as best you can. You'll be out of her house in a few years. You can believe what you want at any time, but if you don't want trouble at home, just agree and kill the conversations quickly.
20 bucks says that pastor would molest any kid he had the opportunity to. Then blame it on the dastardly demons.

I have talked to literally hundreds of Christians from Conservative to Liberal from all varities of denominational backgrounds. Not a single one as attributed "wet dreams" to demon issues. Nor do I think they would even think about it.
"Wet Dreams" are a natural occurance. God given and God designed. It is crazy. But you may not convienvce your mom that. Many people just believe what they are told. Pray for her.
P.S. No where in the Bible does it state such a thing.
WET DREAMS ARE NOT SIN. IF YOU ARE LUSTING BEFORE YOU TO GO TO BED THAT IS WHERE YOU HAVE SINNED. DREAMS ARE SUBCONSIOUCS EVENTS>>>>>YOU CAN"T BE JUDGED FOR WHAT YOU DO UNCONSCIOUSLY.

I absolutely do not believe that. It is something you can't control since you are asleep. Who should be held accountable for what goes on in their sleep? How ridiculous. Saying that it is caused by demons is just being paranoid. I'm sorry to hear that a pastor could teach something so untrue.
I don't know what you should tell your Mother. maybe you can find other Christians who agree with you and let her know about them.

Lol hahahahaa sorry don't get me wrong i am Christian myself it's just the funniest thing I've heard. I swear wet dreams is when you think about a girl..anyways. I think you got to pray and then consult her you don't think this is the case and i know this sounds disgusting but if you've ever had a wet dream tell her it was about a girl not a demon! LOL. By the way demons do exsist my mum got attacked by the devil last week and she was so scared afterwards she has fasted for the past few days, it's not a nice experience trust me, but with Christ she defeated him.
God bless..x

You are not going to talk sense into her. She is in the grip of a fundamentalist cult. For people like her reality has long since left the building.
Nothing you say or do is going to allow her to rationally and logically consider the facts of life.
But since God controls everything, if you are having wet dreams God knew that this was going to happen and did nothing to prevent it. Therefore it must be God's will.

Wow. I don't blame you for wanting to help your mom. I'm not sure how you could get her to stop believing such an innane thing. Is there any way you could convince her to start attending another church that isn't as medieval? There are more sane, practical Christian churches out there.

I believe the wet dream is just a physical response of the male body.
I would ask her or the pastor the reference in scripture for this. There is a reference (nocturnal discharge), but it isn't demonic in nature.
But I would beware if you are dreaming things that you shouldn't be, then focus your daily life on other things. Renew your mind on the Bible. But if this just happens, then it is not demonic.

Pray for her. If that is the kind of information she is getting don't tell her anymore that you are having wet dreams, and no that is not what other Christians think a wet dream is.
