I have a Sony DVD HandyCam that uses the 1.4 GB minidisks. Usually I use DVD-Rs to record my work on, but I decided to purchase a few DVD-RWs so I can reuse them once the video is uploaded to my computer. I made a few videos and no longer wanted them, so I tryed to locate a button to erase the disk while still in the camcorder. I was unable to locate a feature like this, so I inserted the disk into my computer's drive and used Windows to erase the disk. I put the disk back into the camcorder after being erased, but the camcorder would not read it, simply displaying a "Disk Error" message. Have I ruined my disk? And how do safely delete the videos from the disk in the future?
