Actually, Jesus was dead for about 36-40 hours.

He died some time between 3pm and 6pm on a Friday night, and he was up an' at 'em Sunday just before dawn. That would be, let's see, 24 hours for Saturday, 6-9 hours Friday, and 3-7 hours Sunday = 33-40 hours, likely at the upper end of that range, since the sun was coming up when Mary Magdalene went to the grave site.

(When the Bible says "the third day", it doesn't mean three days, it means the third--Friday was the first, Saturday was the second, and Sunday was the third.)

Now, you're asking about what kind of body he had. The witness accounts said that he just "appeared" here and there, and even entered buildings locked from the inside, especially while they were still in Jerusalem for the holiday.

So I'd have to say some kind of transformation took place. That would be why he can live without dying, since his old body was perishable.

Read 1 Corinthians 15. That is the subject of the entire chapter. It explains the difference between the terrestrial body from before death and the resurrected celestial body.

Yes, a transformation did take place. It allows Jesus body to function in the spiritual realm while he was still on earth for 40 days, and then to move completely out of the physical dimension of time and space and into the spiritual realm at his ascension.

These are the Apostles words not mine but I tend to agree with him as to your Biblical knowledge at least:
1 Corinthians 15:37,44
Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Well, if you mean according to Christians, then yes. We believe God raised Him from the dead sporting a glorified body.

Jesus first rose with a spiritual body, then came back and had a physical body.

No. Physical resurrection is not possible. As Paul explains, resurrection is a spiritual, not a physical event. The body of Jesus is dead and will never be revived. The Resurrection was a symbolic event.
