Just be cool. Act like seeing her is no big deal whatsoever. Be the one to close the encounter (say goodbye first). Be gracious, tell her something like "You look good" but in a very neutral way, not flirtatious at all!! This makes you look big.
Why she said that? Don't know, but people cannot handle their emotions when they are upset. It does NOT mean she hated you or stopped loving you. It simply means she was upset and couldn't handle her emotions.
You are afraid bec you are afraid of what you might feel when you see her. Whatever you feel is OK, normal, and the feeling will pass. Take my advice, you will be fine. :)

Sounds like you are afraid of her because she is crazy. Why meet her at all?
