I just turned 20 and live by my self, of course i have a lot of bills to pay but want to go back to school, in a study abroad program. Have any of you come across this situation?

Here's what I would do:

Enroll in a local public university that has a study abroad program. Find out what programs they offer and what you want to major in. File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible!

Take that info to www.ScholarshipExperts.com and find what kind of free money you may be eligible to apply for. Use the scholarship money to pay off your tuition and use the student loan to pay off your credit cards! Student loans have much lower interest rates than credit cards so you can probably save thousands of dollars by going back to school and turning that high interest rate debt into long-term low-rate student loans. -Not to mention all the extra money you'll make in your career by having a college degree-

After you use the student loan funds to pay off your credit card, you can start to save it up for a trip overseas AND you'll be in great financial shape!

Many states also have financial aid programs for students wanting to study abroad. Florida gave me a $2,000 grant in 2001 to help me pay for some classes in Europe. Check with your state's department of education!
