I've visited most of the major sites on the internet, but I learn much quicker talking to someone who speaks the language.
Does anyone know of any colleges in northern California that have Arabic language classes?

Are you trying to learn Assyrian (an Aramaic dialect) or Arabic? They are different languages.

Aramaic is not a commonly taught language in the United States. UCLA probably teaches it. I would be surprised to hear of any other places on the West Coast where you could learn Aramaic. You must also be careful since the name "Aramaic" refers not just to the modern language, but to the ancient language of the neo-Babylonian Empire as well.

Assyrian is a different language to Arabic. Which one do you want to learn?
