Atheists are just people, and people do all sorts of evil. Without God, there isnt much hope for them in this life or the next.

As a non-atheist, which religion do you claim to belong to? Does a Christian have the right to pass this judgment over a non-believer? I am a Christian, and I know plenty of professed Christians who are egotistical. An atheist can not be compared to a Christian standard because he or she does not believe in our God. We can not compare apples with oranges. I expect a Christian to be honest and loving of all, because that is what Jesus would do. I would not expect an atheist to behave as what I expect from a Christian, and am pleasantly surprised to know many atheists who behave more humbly than half of the Christians I know. If we as Christians wish to win souls, arguing with those who don't believe is certainly not going to attract them to our side...just as their insults regarding our ignorance of scientific methodology and free will thinking, etc...After all, if you believe that God created us, how can you believe that those who don't choose to follow God's Way will be tortured in flames forever? That isn't from Christianity, it's from Greco-Roman pantheism. We need to know what the source of our beliefs are before we speak for Christ.

Because Christians make us them seem that way. And they need to defend themselves because Christians think they're anitchrists, when really no one will know the truth. I say Christians are the ones who are ego driven to prove he exists, and atheists are just like "whatever, im not going to fight about something I don't know exists or not." Yeah, Id say theyre a little more humble and they dont keep believing in God because just look at the santa example, we were told as kids he exists, but we found out he doesnt, but i guess in Christians they keep believing because thats what they were taught and they werent proven wrong ever because theyres no way of telling if there is a God or not. Just because you cant see him doesnt mean he doesnt exist - Jesus or Santa?

I have noticed that as well. I don't know why. I think it has something to do with rebellion against God...pride....lack of humility. Probably a combination of a lot of factors....but it is apparent many are egotistical. Especially the one's in here.....not all but many are. The mocking thing is evidence. They have a tendency to mock.

Poor fella, that's what the problem is.. SANTA.. LOL!!! Okay! I won't even say anything else about that. GOD loves you that's why you even bother to be here on this site discussing this matter because in your heart is where GOD has his biggest presence and it's embedded in you from birth. So, stop fighting it and embrace him...

Why do you ask questions that assume facts not in evidence? Why are you disengenuous? Why are you wasting our time on this crap?

Assuming the 'atheists' WERE 'egotistical', whatever you actually mean by that, perhaps it's merely that YOU see them that way. Has that occured to you?

Why do so many Christians make large sum statements about a diverse group? Is the sort of black and white, ignorant, intolerant, reasoning that has lead so many Christians to hatred and murder? You may not be part of the xenophobic Christian past, but your logic is.

You are not going to convert someone on yahoo.answers to Christianity by asking a loaded question, stop trying. Study science and the bible and use logic to think for yourself. It would be a more productive use of your time.
