Too many reasons for 1 single reply.

Word's out. Men and women are wired differently.

Me, I don't shop at all. I have ZERO patience. 95% of my shopping is for motor oil, filters, replacement bulbs, chain saw files or other automotive / power tools repair and maintenance items.

If I go to a store and find there is more than 1 person in line at the checkout, I leave. I know EXACTLY what I want before I put the key in the ignition or pull my helmet strap tight if I'm taking one of the motorcycles. I hit the stores with a mental map of product locations and a plan. In, pick up, pay, leave. Bing bang boom, done. Next case. The rest of my shopping is point, click, pay and ship. Wait for the big brown truck.

My good wife on the other hand, can turn a 300 square foot trinket shop into a 1/2 day experiance. No shirt is left unturned, no ornament is left unmoved. Every nook & cranny has been investigated and examined down to a sub-atomic level by that woman. I simply can't take it.

We men are simple creatures by design. Ogg hungry, Ogg want food. Ogg kill food. Ogg cook food. Ogg not hungry now, mmmmm. Ogg horney. Ogg get sex. Ogg happy. Ogg goodnight. That's it.

When Ogg is faced with a problem, he either solves it or kills it. It really is no more complicated than that. It's black or white, up or down, left or right. None of this middle ground touchy-feely stuff. No time. No patience.

Women on the other had are complicated and much more highly evolved, again by design. That's just the way it is.

Your boyfriend's whining and complaining are normal healthy male responses to highly stressful situations. Be happy he's not asking you to help pick out a nice pair of strappy high heel sandals, pantyhose and a cute little dress to wear to his high school reunion.

Probably because you are looking at YOUR stuff, and he is bored because he has nothing to do.

Girls don't mind shopping for guy stuff, because you like shopping, period. When guys shop, they usually take less time, because they are just going for a specific thing, and that thing only, not the "experience". Women take more time when shopping, because you like the experience of looking at stuff that you will never buy, and guys get bored.

Typically men and women shop differently....guys often know what they want and go straight for it, while women browse, try on clothes, and wander around hoping something will catch their eye...

If you don't like shopping with your guy, then don't go...but don't ask or expect him to accompany you either...or go together and then split up to look for what you each want, and meet at a designated time/place afterward to move on...

Try shopping for food and not clothes.
