If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

I have two product ideas:
Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10. It comes in a tube, can be commonly found and costs five dollars. This product contains 10% benzoyl peroxide the highest concentration you can obtain without a prescription. Benzoyl peroxide works as a peeling agent, increasing skin turnover and clearing pores, thus reducing the bacterial count there as well as directly as an antibacterial (1). I use and have recommended this product to people of all ages. I have received nothing but praise and thanks in regards to this product.
Pernox, Lathering Abradant Scrub Cleanser for Oily Skin. It comes in a bottle, can be found at Walgreens, costs between 17-20 dollars. This products contains salicylic acid and sulfur. Salicylic acid treats acne by causing skin cells to slough off more readily, preventing pores from clogging up (2). This product was recommended to me by my dermatologist. I recommended it to my parents and cousins. My cousin from Guam orders it online through Walgreens.com.
Have Fun! ^_^

drink lots and lots and lots and lots of water like at least 2 liters of water a day
if your not used to it try spacing it out through the day
you should try proactive...i don't have that many zits but i used it and it cleared my face up. also try wearing a face mask to bed. i use the queen Helene's mint julep mask and i put a thin layer on my face at night that way i don't wake up with oily skin
cleanse your face 2 a day also if your face is oily during the day i take some toilet paper and put some witch hazel on it (i buy a big bottle at wallgreens) and put that on your face to take off the oil, but if your skin doesn't get oily during the day then don't
also don't forget to moisturize after you clean your face....i didn't and then when i started to it worked wonders. get a moisturizer that is oil free...i actually use Noxzema (i use the cleanser as a moisturizer...it works for me..it moisturizes my face and cleanses it) you can buy it in a big bottle for cheap
also eat lot and lot of fruit and veggies that are raw not cooked
no junk food and no sugar...i used to love junk food but eventually i got myself off of it and i have really clear skin now
it's also genetic...like how clear your mom and dads skin were when they were kids.
don't expect results overnight....it'll take a while but i would really try proactive...it worked great for me

proactive is good, but any acne facial wash is good too.,make sure it says 10%benzoyl peroxide thay are much much better also try buying a oxy maximun pimple treatment (its a small white bottle)make sure you wash your face morning and night. a dirty face will not help you.well good luck

you are what you eat and you are also what you drink. scrub you're face 3 times a day with good soap. that should keep you're pours for getting clogged up. acne is just natural oil glans and it can build up if you don't take of you're face and don't worry. it stops when you get older.

Go to your doctor.
My daughter tried all the creams and everything (including diet ) and nothing worked.
When she finally went to the doc he gave her antibiotic face wash and it was like magic.

stick youtr face in boiling hot distilled water. Then freeze it. Do not use soaps or towels they are comercialist sales pitches and are bad for you. Or just deal, its life.
Think about ten years of faithfull servitude to a company!
