I am a senior in high school and since freshmen year, I had sort of been going out with this one girl but not really going out. I don't know how to describe it - I have been talking to her a lot, dancing with her at the school dances, flirting, and showing interest in her but never officially was going out with her, and I guess she thought that something would happen between us but never did because I just never acted on it enough. Now its the last year of high school and she's alone and I feel bad because I feel like I kind of claimed her in the beginning of HS so no other guy would go out with her because they would say, "oh that's so and so's girl". I feel like I tainted her reputation and now no guys want to go out with her. Is this my fault? Is it really bad that I flirted with her but never asked her out or went any further and that I left her waiting?

Don't worry about it. You both enjoyed dancing, flirting, having someone to hang out with and talk to. She could have told you no at any time.

Naw, it's a cold cruel world out there and you didn't do anything wrong as far as I can see. High school is not the be-all, end-all of relationships. In fact, it's scarcely the beginning. Why don't you ask her out?

not that she is lonely is ur fault but for leading her on is. if u had no intentions with her thenu should nt of acted as if u did , how would u feel if someone that u really liked did that to u. i cant belive u did that to her for so long.u wasted a lot of her time

I THINK SO BUT NOW IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU ANYMORE IT IS NOW HER DECISION TO MAKE IT KNOWN THAT SHE IS AVAILABLE AND IF SHE DOESNT THEN ITS ON HER............... SHE OBVIOUSLY DOESNT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT............
