Would you say superstitions (Friday the13th and so on) could be like "meat sacrificed to idols"?

No longer scary because of Christianity and now we just recognize it as any other Friday? That kind of thing.

No. The meat thing is literal. As in the time of Acts, the animals were sacrificed (dedicated) to a god, then cooked and eaten.
