Verizon is our phone company and they stated that in the future, no time frame, they will provide high speed. Cable is not an option and have checked with satellite, very expensive.

Call up your local phone/cable companies and ask.

It depends on where you live in Texas.
You must check with your own telephone company for your town or county. Of course, in addition to dial-up, and high speed DSL lines from your phone company, you could also check the availability of a computer line from a cable tv provider if you have cable, or a wireless connection through your cellular phone companies in that area., if you are in an area serviced by one of the big cellular phone companies. They are free of any need for a phone line.

You can check with your local phone company; if you have cable (not terribly likely in some rural parts of Texas), talk with them. Short of DSL or cable, you might consider getting a satellite hook-up if the higher speeds are really important to you.
