Hun... DONT EVER DO PIGTAILS!! Why would you want to look so silly. They are NOT cute. Come on really the name has PIG in it... just dont.

I have bangs and I like to wear 2 pigtails with too. Definitely grow out your bangs just a little bit like to the bottom of your eye and push them to the side! It looks really good.

I think that if you want to do pigtails, it is best to do it with bangs. As long as they are not long bangs. Besides, pigtails do look cute on some people. So, do pigtails with I would say medium size bangs. (By medium size I mean, cheek to mouth lengh at most).

i like to do my pigtails low, kind of loose, and most definitley with bangs. it kind of depends on what kind of bangs you are referring to, however. if you have the side-swept bang, then with bangs is the best way to go. if you have the shorter classical bang then you pretty much have to go with bangs anyways.
