Yes, as other respondents have pointed out, steaming is better. But if you want to cook veggies quickly, boiling is ok if you bring to a boil and then reduce immediately to "low", and cover, to finish the cooking---which is a fast version of steaming.

it would depend onto if you boil your vegetables in a bag or out of a bag. in other words, if you boil your veggies in a bag, the vitamins will remain intact, but if you take the veggies out of the bag and place them directly into the water, then there would be less vitamins.

not really, the amount of vitamins and minerals being leeched out is minimal from boiling. a good way to utilize the water that now contains those vitamins and minerals is to make a soup or stock out of it
