When did Netteller get into the business of lending money?

I don't understand how you could owe them anything since it's more or less like an online bank account, not a credit card.

In any event, Netteller has all kinds of legal issues they are sorting out right now so I'd take a wait & see approach if I were you. They haven't started sending out the money they owe to US people yet, so they certainly shouldn't be sending anyone to collections for money owed to them. (If anything, there's probably thousands of people that Netteller owes money to that would love to be sending THEM to collections because it's been like a month now and no payments are going out yet.)

How can you possibly owe Neteller money?

Let's say for a moment that you somehow do owe them money, they no longer accept US funds, so you don't owe them anything. I also doubt that they sent you to collections.

How, pray tell, do they expect you to pay them? Send a check to headquarters?

I certainly wouldn't act until the dust settles on their current problems. You won't be bothered by them until they're sure they won't be charged by the US government. I'm curious as to how you owe them money, though.

Sorry to say it but, Yes you still owe them. Just because the new law took effect before they withdrew the money from your account, They will be able to get paid. They'll be grandfathered in.

They will send it to a collection company which in turn will put it on your credit report and greatly lower your fico score. I suggest you pay it you will save $$ in the long run credit score is everything these days.
