I have a legal perscription for adderall, I took a UA and failed. I do meth and take adderall. My probation officer called and told me that I failed for met/amph. I already provided her the perscription from my doctor, can they tell the difference? I got out of rehab 8 months ago and I relapsed, should I admit it? I have already signed up for outpatient. I have to go talk to my PO monday......

Positive UA's are usually sent to a lab for further testing. Initially, there can be a cross-positive result; certain drugs/foods can cause you to fail a UA. That's where the laboratory testing comes in... they will be able to confirm whether the positive is true or false.

IMHO, it's always best to admit the truth.

Abstinence is not recovery. You have to work on fixing what drives you to drugs in the first place! Since you've already been to rehab, oupatient & NA would be a good place to brush up.

I understand that relapse CAN be a part of recovery, but you do have a CHOICE.

Please choose life !

Adderall Is a dextroamphetamine which is another form of amphetamine which does show up positive on drug tests for amphetamines. One time usage of a 10mg pill should no longer be detectable in the urine after 1-5 days. If you are a more habitual user the higher concentration will stay in longer. ____________________
