I will be getting my first car, it's going to be a 1999 Chevy Malibu. I have heard a lot of bad reviews and some good ones. What kind of experiences have you guys had? Is it worth $4000?

If it is under 96,000 miles it's right under the correct mileage for the yr, and the price. Most vehicles are really great vehicles when you are always keeping up the with fluids ( oil, coolant, transmission, and water), getting the regular maintance. Keeping up with the air pressure in the tires helps on gas and the tires. If you can find a machanic that can check out the vehicle for major things. What ever you do just pray and ask for a reliable vehicle, that will do the job. I have done this every time and I have gotten sme really nice vehicles that have done the job until I was able to upgrade

i think of your unique problem became a low coolant point from greater beneficial than probable a foul intake gasket( very simple and below a protracted guarantee, 7/70). as quickly as the motor vehicle overheated, even however you "crowned it off", you greater beneficial than probable didnt :bleed " the equipment, they have 2 bleed screws on that engine, if no longer bleed, air became in the equipment yet and in a quick time, it overheated returned because of the fact of a "low coolant point". a foul thermostat could reason that, yet i think of the gauge is going up and down merely from the low coolant in the engine, everytime coolant hits the therostat, it opens, while the air hits it, it closes. warm air in an engine won't open a thermostat, purely warm coolant
