Simple. It's Wiltshire ham on a bed of cream cheese, buried beneath two newly baked and buttered slices of white, crusty bread! For those who like that extra zing on the tongue, spread a little honey and mustard sauce on the ham. I'm already drooling at the thought of this combo feast...but one thing extra, the sandwich is essentially washed down with an ice cold beer!
That's it. I'm going to the all night store for some ham and bread. Oh Boy, I can't stand the tension! Enjoy!

My favorite sandwich ever is made by splitting a section of crusty baguette down the middle; drizzle the inside of both halves lightly with extra virgin olive oil. If the baguette is really fat, use your fingers to pull out some of the crumb from the interior, which you can use for stuffing or dry for breadcrumbs. On the bottom half of bread, drape several slices of thin-sliced prosciutto--but you don't need a thick layer, because the flavor's pretty concentrated. On top of that, a layer of fresh mozzarella (the water-packed kind: after slicing, dry it off a little bit on a paper towel so it doesn't make the sandwich soggy). Then a single layer of fresh basil leaves--leave them whole. Then grind a little black pepper over the top. Put the top half of the baguette back on and squash it slightly with the heel of your hand to help the flavors combine. This might sound bossy, but I strongly recommend that you don't add anything else to the sandwich: the combination of prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and basil with good olive oil is pure and delicious as is. It's great for picnics. I hope you try it.

Try a muffaleta sandwich..... Hollow out a round loaf of bread. Layer with several different kinds of sandwich meats and cheeses along with olives, roasted red peppers, and any other condiments you like then drizzle with italian dressing and toast in oven until cheese is melted. Put lid back on and slice and serve!

The sandwich I always make is a fried egg on toast with ketchup. It's really tasty and filling. It's fairly quick and easy to make. I pretty well always have the ingredients around.
Try it, it's great!

I love thick granary bread, with grated cheese, lots of raw onion and sliced tomatoes. I always have to have a bag of plain crisps with a sandwich.

The Philly Cheese Steak, if properly made, is the best sandwitch in the world. However, as for any food, it depends on the quality of the ingredients.
