Bob Dylan is Christian. Cat Stevens is Muslim. Why aren't you intolerant of their faith?

Listen you clown, I love Dylan, Cat, Muhammad Ali, John Belushi, Richard Prior, Frank Zappa, John Lennon, and a whole lot of other people with different opinions than my own. Doesn't mean I will do what they did or believe as they did. It just means I have ultimate respect for what they are or were. For real Atheists, religion doesn't enter into it. Try looking at the person, not the label.

While Cat Stevens is inarguably Moslem, Bob Dylan is very much NOT Christian. He did that pretend thing for a couple of years because "Christian" pop was emerging and he wanted to try it out. After he finished that experiment, he tried other things, including working with death cult "The Grateful Dead."

We have much trouble realizing that the people who pleased us also lied to us. But there you are.

How can you tell Bob Dylan is Christian?
Yes, at one time he was. From "Slow Train" to "Saved" days.
But not any more, I guess.
Everybody can easily tell that many of Dylan songs are based on the Bible. But it does not mean he is Christian.

What could I possibly care about what someone has chosen to take as their faith. I don't go after anyone. Live and let live. Christians should think like that and quit going after people that don't believe what christians want them to believe. Some christians seem to have a real issue with people thinking for themselves. I don't need to go after them, but this is an open forum and if you spout unsubstantiated drivel and make wild generalizatons reasoning people will comment.

I haven't "gone after" anyone lately.

I don't like religion. If Bob Dylan came on here and started talking crap about atheists, I would say the same to him as I do to you.

Bob Dylan is Jewish. And, I don't go after anyones faith. I just don't want people going after my lack thereof. Simple as that. Start quoting me the bible, and I will pick it apart. Tell me you are going to pray for me, and I will say ok.

Atheist do not go after people's faiths. We just defend the reasons we do not believe when challenged.

Because they don't have fundamentalist views. And Bob Dylan is a peace-loving, inspirational man.

Not a hypocrite like so many.

I never see Bob Dylan telling me that I am going to hell or calling me satan.

Cat Stevens or Islam something, is doing his thing, what ever that is. If he comes here and tries to convert me I would be glad to speak to him.
