Actually the growth hormone is secreted during deep sleep. That means taking naps may not be enough to help trigger the growth hormone, but a good night's sleep will. It doesn't matter when you sleep, but your body functions best and maintains good hormone levels if you sleep about the same time each day and for the same amount of time. If you get at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep a night, you should be fine.

Sleeping helps you grow because growth hormone is secreted during sleep, but this sleep has to be deep and during night time when it is dark, sleeping during day time does not help. So you need deep sleep during night time, 8 hours or more according to your age, so find out when sun rise is, and sleep at least 8 hours before it, extra sleep will not hurt. Sports can help you grow, too, not hormonally, but as a kind of adaptation of your body to the needs of the sport, plus it adds to general health.

Yes.

Particularly if you are a pre teen. Otherwises it just helps your body recover and process your actions for the day.

Sleep around 7 - 9 hours /day...or more if you are younger. Avoid over 11. (makes you fat and slow).

No. No, no, no. You have to sleep to be healthy, which will help you during puberty......but sleeping is NOT going to make you taller. You're staying in bed WAY too long for nothing. You could sleep for 10 days straight and you are NOT going to be any taller. You don't want to hear about genes----well, that's too bad because THAT is what determines how tall you will be. You can't take anything (or stretch, exercise) that will make you grow. Sorry.
