I got a perm 4 days ago. When I told the stylist what I wanted, I said "medium to large curls, ringlet types, not poodle do'" Well, I came out with very small curls, & I look like a poodle, as I asked not to be. She said that it would relax some in the next few days, but it seems no more relaxed now than it did that same night. What do I do? I still want *some* curls, but not like this!

4 days isn't long enough for it to have relaxed. It will, but it will take a while.
Try using a curling iron to help smooth it out.

OK, you've told her that you don't like the results, so you've got some come-back if you need it. The chances are that after a couple of shampoos it'll relax somewhat all by itself. Otherwise, I wouldn't let that stylist anywhere near it again and I'm afraid that I'd leave it alone as further attempts - adding more chemicals to your hair - are likely to weaken it. Then tell your friends to avoid going to someone who seems to know better than you do.
Sorry I can't be more positive, but having had a similar experience I know that adding anything else will just make it worse.

quit washing it. you're drying it out. it fairly is the 1st factor. Secondly, circulate to the shop and seem for hair products that cut back frizz. I would desire to try this with my hair as quickly as I get it permed in any different case a physique wave feels like a poodle clip too. at cutting-edge i've got been utilising TRESemme Touchable Curls and organic Essences completely Twisted. the 1st relaxes the curls and the 2nd facilitates to define them. interior the top that's a much greater tolerable seem. yet seem around via fact there are fairly some products on the marketplace.

This is what you need to do. You need to let it go for a couple more days at least a week- thats what i tell my clients- however if the curls are extremly tighter than what you wanted then raise hell. your stylist should know what perm rods are going to do what. do not take matters into your own hands and try and fix it. it will only make things worse. what i would do is ask what they can do to fix it or ask for your money back and talk to another stylist.

Washing it everyday with regular shampoo instead of special perm shampoos may help it relax.
If it doesn't relax within a week, ask for a refund. And make her give you a "malibu" for free It will strip the perm out of your hair.

It lasts until the hair grows out. But don't feel bad; at least it is probably all one color. Have you noticed lately that most of the women on tv wear hair like dogs, in 2 colors. Women never ever looked so bad. Almost no one is pretty anymore on tv. They seem to vie with each other to surpass all the others is sheer awfulness.

if you want it totally gone, then buy an at home perm kit and comb the solution thru your hair to relax it
