I have searched the internet but with no luck. Its really important to know if this place exsists. Please help.

I've heard of Tibet and I suppose so have you. Its not an island, but a country adjoining India on the Northern side. Tibet is presently occupied by China. But I've never heard of a place named Tribet.
On searching for Tribet on the net, I found the name mentioned in two sites viz. DelcoTimes.com and AddALL.com. There are other mentions too, but not relevant to your question. In the first site the place Tribet is in the US and is connected to reports of some floods there. In the second site, Tribet is mentioned in connection of a map of the Yangtze River. So it is possibly in China or thereabout. You may use these two leads to make further enquiries.

Not Tribet ,,maybe you mean tibet if that doesn't answer your question them check a map on the internet

Doubt it, check an Atlas or ask your History etc. teacher.
