DON"T use Proactive! Your getting cheated out of money! Use Acne Free. I got results in 3 days. It's at Wal-mart for like 15$.

Yes, there is an Aveeno wash. It's called Aveeno®: Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser, but it does have Salicylic Acid. I personally do not have acne, just skin colored pimples, and it works well for me! Plus, it smells great! Maybe you should try Neutrogena, it works quite nicely! I don't think that the St. Ives apricot scrub works very well, so I don't reccomend trying it. I used it, and all my pimples were gone on the first try, but after I used it for a while, my cheeks were always red and hot, so I stopped. It has bits of Walnut shells in it, so it could tear up your skin.

Proactiv is actually spelled P-R-O-A-C-T-I-V, not P-R-O-A-C-T-I-V-E. Some people say Proactiv is a miracle product, and that everyone should use it. Others say that It made their acne worse, and that it dried out their skin. Still others say that it works when you're using it, but as soon as you stop, the acne comes right back. So it might not work for you. You could still order it at Proactiv.com, and if you don't like it, send it back within 60 days of your purchase (even if the bottles are empty) and you'll get a full refund. You never know, it might work! But I'm not sure if Proactiv is all natural, or if it has Salicylic Acid, though...

So, in summary: Try Neutrogena, or Proactiv, it might work! Go for it!

Good Luck, I hope this helps! :)

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com/index.html that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

If you're female, go on the pill. Acne (more than just a few spots) is usually caused by a hormonal imbalance and the pill can adjust it. If you don't want to do that then go see a doctor and get some type of prescription gel. Over the counter products are not very effective unless you have one or two spots.

Other than that, eat right, exercise and wash your face daily. Try not to touch your face or pick at pimples. Avoid makeup at all costs.

Environment (school, work home) has to do with the Acne too, advice to you: change your pillow case more often, change your eating habit (less fry food, more boil vegetable, less sugar, more water, less soda), make sure you have enough sleep, a little exercises will help too, don't touch your face with dirty or dusty hand, if your hair touch your face to much, it will first make you face irritated and then bumps will show up, also try to just wash your face with water, maybe your skin has reaction to all the wash cream.

You can use proactiv. It works for many people and if it does not work you can get a refund. Proactiv body wash has Sal in it, but the basic 3 step program does not. You can also go to a dermatologist and they can get you a topical antibiotic or something else.

Benzoyl peroxide helps eliminate bacteria growth. I've heard that eating more zinc and taking milk thistle supplements help as well.
For cleansing, mild soap and water works the best. Afterwards, apply a light moisturizer with SPF.
In addition, try to lower any stress factors and get a decent amount of sleep. Drinking lots of water helps too, plus it increases your skin's radiance.

No1 can really know what is best for YOUR acne, different people have a reaction to different products so I guess youll just have to try different products to better fit you: Proactive, Clean & clear, noxema. You should also try to eat healthy and when new blemishes come dont play in your face and if you are touching your face make sure your hands are clean
