he allows bad things to happen to us all. not to bring us down but to build us up. we are to learn to overcome the things of this world. everyone has choices to make and too many people make the wrong ones. they choose to go out and hurt others instead of helping them so therefore good people get hurt. its what we do with the hurt that counts though. we can choose to be angry, vengeful, hateful, intolerant people because of the hurt or we can learn to forgive and pray for those being hurt. we can choose to help and learn to heal through the Lord. we do not have to let him become our enemy. i know that when these things happen how hard it is to do these things. trust me, i have been hurt like that myself. but i have finally found a way to stop hating and try to keep my eyes on the Lord despite what happened to me.

I think if you review the Bible with this question in mind, you will gain a lot of insight if not find the answer to your satisfaction. I agree that it seems like an unfair circumstance if you view it as you wrote it here, but I also think you're making a lot of assumptions, one being that God maintains complete control over the events of our lives at all times. If you really want the answer, ask God to show it to you.

It is the parents responsibility to prevent sexual and physical abuse on these innocent ones. Our Creator has entrusted children to us and we are to protect them with our lives. But G-d is watching over children. He did over my mom who was abandoned the first five years of her life, she wasn't physically or sexual abused. "Thank You G-d" for your protection to the innocent children.

This isn't an easy issue to deal with but it is true, God does allow these kind of things to happen for mainly one reason. And that's because God uses instances like these to bring about the ultimate good.
