Wet your hair in the shower before you go into the pool that way your hair absorbs mostly plain water and not as much chlorine water or try wearing a swim cap (that will also help your speed) at the end of the practice or meet use a shampoo specially formulated for getting cholrine out of your hair

Yes chlorine will take a toll... I am a competitive diver so Believe me I have been there... The best thing I found to do was a routine. First wash your hair with shampoo that is specifically aimed at chlorine, for swimmers. Try looking at salons or Sally's beauty supply stores. Then I would use a hair mask 3 times a week. A deep conditioning conditioner mask that you leave on for 3-5 minutes. Now I have brown hair. If I go off of your picture your a blond? That adds another issue, for you chlorine may cause your hair to have a green tint... so that shampoo will really help. Also WET your hair really really well, soak it before you get in the pool. That should help.
Hope it works.
Good luck with the training

im also a swimmer and i swim 5 nights a week and one morning for two hours. Once you get out of the pool go to the locker room and shower off bring shampoo and conditioner then once you get home if you still smell like chlorine take another longer shower.

i was on my high school's swim team. the season just finished a week ago, but we practiced two to three hours a day, six days a week. i also have hair that's dyed and highlighted. i asked my hairdresser about my concerns with discoloration in my hair and any other damage.
she said before you get in the water, fill a spray bottle with cheap, watered-down conditioner and spray your hair with it. this worked for me, but if you have any damage afterwords, you can always go to a salon. they have a special hair treatment that will repair your hair from chlorine damage.

i hope this helped!!

I swam from 6th grade through high school five times a week winter and summer. There are certain shampoos you can buy for this. Use your regular shampoo and conditoner and use the one for the chlorine once a week.

I think you should wash your hair very well and stop using straightners and etc. they are just damaging your hair even more. I've had the same problem. When I stopped swimming it kind of just stpped. Take a break. Shorten your swimming days. I wish you the best of luck!

There are shampos for removing chlorine. It is not good for your hair, but exercising is really good for you. Just wash it out afterwards and make sure to condition it. If you do not have to stragten it will be better.

I've heard blondes who get chlorine in their hair can turn it green. I think at salons they have stuff to put an hair to prevent it. I'd just wash your hair when you get home. Go to your salon and see if they have the stuff.
