Plastic does not get into your food, but small amounts of dioxins will leach into it. Johns Hopkins did a recent study that showed this. It's always better to warm your food in glass containers.

As long as the container is microwave safe I don't see why there would be any problem. If it is not microwave safe there is a chance that the container can melt, then plastic can get into your food. It can also make a big mess!

The food will be fine, but the container may suffer. Hot spots in the food can damage low-melting plastics such as polyethylene, so if you want to re-use the container, it would be well to transfer the food to something like Pyrex or earthenware before heating it.

it's not harmful. just make sure that the container is open. and nothing will happen to ur food!

I would think that is somewhat harmful. If you overheat the plastic it melts.

the concenus is yes it is harmful to you...........but then again the real health nuts believe the microwave itself is harmful to you.....i find myself switching to glass tho...makes me feel better!
