No it isn't pointless. Futile, wasteful, misguided, etc., etc., but not pointless.

Well, first, the war should have been over. Second, this doesn't benifit us. Bush said he declared war ON terrorism, not Iraq, so yes technically, it is worthless. They captured Sadam Hussein, and killed him, though I believe he wasn't much of a threat. We shouldn't be wasting our forces on a country whose people are killing each other because of Hussein's death. It's a civil war, they have to help themselves, to see if they can truly be called the poeple of Iraq.

I think the plan, "Put an end to Terrorism", is not a win able plan. There will always be a difference of opinion between people, especially with regards to religious beliefs, and there will always be people who believe violence is the only way to get their point across.

Not pointless.One of the most horrendous, immoral acts imagineable, though. Our soldiers over there are some of the bravest and brightest of their country.They are following orders like they are trained to do under the lie of bringing democracy to Iraq.It's tragic that those that have lead our bravest and brightest into an immoral and fruitless conflict based on lies. Support our troops by loving them, praying for them, sending them gifts but get them out of harm's way.Enough is enough.

No, it is not pointless. You rather fight them there, are would you like to have to fight them in the US. I say , stay the course, do what ever is necessary to win this war. Any more terrorists wants some of the same thing, attack us again, and we will take a war to them too. I support Bush, The Troops and this war.

i wanted to say that this is a GREAT QUESTION but then i realized wats the POINT in asking or answering this question when u already know the POINT that there wasnt any, at all(Atleast any good and fair point to go to war)
