Because it is human instinct to lie when in a bad situation? Or they are a compulsive liar? Or they have something to hide? People lie for different reasons so i dont know.

Not every one in this world lie,but I feel sorry for you that it seems like people lie to you all the time,a good advice for you would be don't ever fully trust somebody!Good luck

some people lie because it's a part of their character/behavior. they're compulsive liars. they really can't help it. like Jim Carey in Liar, Liar. heh.
some other lie because they don't want the REAL truth to be known... which is to cover some bad stuff they're done or something flaw in themselves.
i lie because i don't want to get into trouble. heh

people like to lie becuase either it makes them look better or they don't want to expose what flaws they have. The reasons are all different depending on the person, because of course each person lives, react, and act differently

Many reasons!
Impress people, hide insecurities, hide their true feelings, prevnet people from getting hurt, help their guitly conscious etc a lot of people don't think before they speak and lying, at first, is a lot easier than owning up or telling the truth!

Too get out of trouble, make themselves look better than they r, etc. Why lie? Then u have to remember it!!!

Manipulators will lie to get what they want...to control a situation...again, to get what they want..
So, it's not all ppl... it's selfish and irresponsible people that lie.
