First I would like to say that I am sorry that you feel attacked by Christians. I have two thoughts on why that is.
First is what I would call a lack of maturity. To quote a Proverb 19:2 it is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way. I could go deeper into this but I think the point is made.
Second just because someone says that they are a Christian does not mean that they are really a Christian. In fact even if they think they are that does not mean they are. As for myself I have no reason to attack anyone who does not have my faith. Doing so does not make me feel better my joy comes from elsewhere. It is kind of like the schoolyard bully they beat up the weak to make them feel better. Why because they are weak inside. I don't mean to call you weak. I just think that is how a (non-Christian believer in God) or and immature Christian would view someone with less faith than what they have.
At least you have chosen a side. Many of your attackers are just riding the fence a quick look at their lives will make that clear

Many people have been offended by the approach used by some Christians. These people attempt to force their beliefs on others through anger and fear rather than with the respect and love that was demonstrated by Jesus, Himself.
You may be right, but when you lose your temper, you have lost the argument even though you are correct. The idea is to be 'cool.' Refuse to be angered or lured into arguments by fundamentalists. Just because they are rude and ignorant doesn't give you cause to do the same. Smile. Present your points in a clear and logical order. Be open-minded even if they are close -minded and possess a single point-of-view. Take the high rode. Listen, accept or reject, and keep an open mind.

Yea, that verse somehow gets overlooked by the narrow-minded biased Christian arseholes of which there are so many on this planet.
I'm a Christian, but I wouldn't attack you. I don't think it's right to be an atheist, but that's your choice. What good will come of it if I attack some-one who doesn't believe as I do?
And to all the Christians moaning about being attacked: Put a lid on it. That's the way it is, so stop moaning.

I'm not interested in attacking you, but I have to admit, sometimes it's fun to argue with you. Atheists on this forum- a lot of them, anyway- just seem so humorless and superior-acting that I can't help provoking them sometimes. It's unworthy of a true Christian, you're right about that, but I get a kick out of seeing how many outraged "thumbs down" I can accumulate on some questions.

I guess it is a chicken and egg question. Who has started the attacks first? One can make a claim Christians are responding to atheists who attack them. But then again if they practiced what the bible preached they would turn the other cheek.

I ask that you not hold it against all Christians, for the actions of other 'Christians'. Given that several (I have one thing especially in mind presently) things have not been 'logically' overcome by Christians, I can understand why 'Atheists' may see 'Christians' (especially in the USA) as (putting it mildly) illogical.
May you receive today there a large pleasant surprise to God's glory!!!

i'm Christian and that i in no way decide different human beings as long as they do no longer decide me. It seems such as you have been putting out with the damaging breed of religion, the "i'm greater effective than you" sort. i'm purely 15 yet I easily have seen lots. I easily have additionally encountered human beings lashing out against my faith, as a rule atheists regrettably, that supply all the different atheists a foul call. The humorous factor relating to the snobby religious human beings is they could throw a woman who dedicated adultery on the ft of Jesus extremely than praying for her. each and each time a spiritual individual says something approximately your ideals without you scary it say "enable he without sin forged the 1st stone."

I wish both sides would get over themselves, and realize they might learn something from the other. I've read the responses "Christian vs. Atheism etc"......There are a few that show respect to one another, but there is a lot of accusations and bashing going on......... on both sides.

They (The Fundies) would get creamed in a war of intelligence. They know it'd be an unfair fight for you to attack them back because they are unarmed.

Why does it have to be hostile at all? I thought the whole idea of YA was to read and express various points of view, not hammer anyone who disagrees with a particular position.
