I know better than to try and set girls with guys that are not good-looking. Sometimes I know guys who are kind, make good money, and are fun to be with, but if they are not very very good-looking, I’ll never hear the end of it. Girls don’t seem to care about anything else besides looks when they get set up for a date. Some girls are still mad at me because I set them up on a date with a someone I honestly thought was a catch because of their way of thinking and the money they made, but that never seems to matter.
I think I’m rather good looking because ever since middle school and today after college, girls are always asking my sisters, and my friends to set them up on a date with me, or to have them introduced to me. Sometimes I really don’t like the girls I get set up with, but I can’t say they are ugly because I’ll automatically be a major jerk. However girls can call guys ugly, and not worth their time.
Why can’t guys do the same, and not be labeled as jerks?

I also hear girls call guys too fat for their taste infront of mnay peoople, and that's seems to be socially acceptable where if I guy says a girl is too fat for his taste, and a girl gets to hear that, he'll never hear the end of it. It's a double standard.

Good question... Why can guys have sex with as many women as they want but if a girl does it we are labelled as Sl*ts?? It is the way we are raised.. Welcome to our screwed up world..LMAO

The pendulum swings both ways. You just don't hear the bell because you are a guy, no matter how good a friend you are to them. Setting people up is a tricky business. If you set someone up with someone else the first person thinks it indicates how you think about them. Just have group situations and let everyone come together on their own. Have small parties with the people you would think go together (maybe a group of 10 or so, potluck and byo so it doesn't cost a mint). Do something where the guys and girls have to mingle; Video games, board games, bowling or such. Believe me they will gather in separate corners by sex. Also, people don't seem to change much than they did in high school. Even senior citizens have the same cliques and groups. Give up your fixing up. If a girl won't go out with you because her friend doesn't have a date say that you can't do it. If you don't have trouble with the ladies they will back down and go.

Girls like those are shallow and you're unfortunate to meet those girls. Not all girls are like that though. It's not all about looks, it's about personality. To answer you question, girls can say no because they are girls. The reason guys can't say no is because somewhere in you sub-conscious, you want to explore, even though you don't like them. Your mistake is trying to set girls up with guys. Love doesn't come that ay. I be if you let the girls find them on their own, even if they are not good looking, they'll still like them. Say no when it's necessary and leave the matchmaking for professionals.

lol just forget about it. no one really knows what a girl wants form a guy, but that girl, and friends. funny when you think about it. They try to play tricks on you to make you do something that they wanted you to do. Them gals are just confusing, when it comes to dating them. You think aobut them all the time, want to talk to them. Then things just come up and make you act different. Love and girls are funny in many ways a?

first of all, you're kind of conceited, "i think i'm rather good looking, etc etc.." -- what did that have to do with your story?
second of all, not all girls are like that
third of all, some girls don't just like guys because they have money..
fourth of all, there are just as many guys like that in this world as there are girls.

you shouldnt set a girl to have a date with a boy that she do not know what if she set you up with her girlfriend and you wouldnt know until her friend tell you she set you up thats my answer for this question
