to get him something for valentines day?
I have gone out on about 5 dates with this guy that I like. (we're not boyfriend and girlfriends...we're DATING).. We have been best friends for about a year so it feels like not just like you would feel going out with a complete stranger. I really like him and on Valentines Day he is coming down to my town and picking me up and taking me out to dinner, adn watching a movie adn stuff. My question here is, should I get him something or should I just not do anything since we haven't really been dating that long...If i sohuld get him something, what should i get him?

you should definatly get him something because he will probably give something to you
since you have been best friends with this guy, i think you should give him something that is a symbol of that and also something that could resemble the realtionship you have with him now
whatever you do, dont get him a gift card,

I think its ok to get him a token of some kind. If not for "love" than for friendship. Maybe a new CD or something in the $20 range...

A Valentine "friendship" type card would be appropriate. Hallmark makes them....read the verses and determine which one might be best for your particular situation.
A potted plant for his apartment. He would think of you each time he looks at it.

Yes get him something but nothing too over the top and get a card and just sayi wasn't sure if to get you anything or not but i just got you this (not sure what maybe a cd or something)

well its been 5 dates, you should really get him something. You can get him cologne and a box of chocolate, or a watch. Ether way cant go wrong

Get him something safe! since you are already friends you can get him alot of things.Pick something like a cd or car freshner/car /truck related items...guys always like that kind of stuff anyways.It's the thought that counts not the gift...but play it safe.

You said you've been friends longer than you've been dating... get him a "Friendly" gift for now.
5 Dates and not being together... I think it's too soon to get anything other than a "friendly" gift.

yeh , sure u should get him smthg if not as a boyfriend, at least as very best friend. get him smthg that show ur level of love to him, somethg simple, cute .i.e: valentine card and write ur own words ... :) ,anthg he loves ....
