That is a question each Christian needs to answer for himself. But this is my opinion on it. If I am in a bar having a beer and a girl I have just witnessed to, sees me in there laughing and drinking, have I lost my testimony? Will she think poorly of me or will she think that if I am doing it she can too. Then I have made a new or young Christian stumble.
Also the Jews got rid of all yeast during passover. They ate unleavened bread. They were not even allowed to have leaven or yeast in their house. Hence the name "spring cleaning". To make wine you need yeast. It can't be made with out yeast. The grapes will just rot ,not ferment. Rotting grapes are not wine, it becomes undrinkable. So during the last supper, do you think that Jesus drank wine? It's a point that Christians disagree on. But it is up to you. It says that Jesus turned water into wine, so you decide what to do, just don't be drunk. :-)

well, let's look at what the Bible says about this...
1 Timothy 5: 23: "Do not drink water any longer, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness."....so the Apostle Paul was advising timothy to drink a little wine instead of water
1 Timothy 3:8: "Ministerial servants should likewise be serious, not double-tongued, not giving themselves to a lot of wine, not greedy of dishonest gain, "...notice, not giving themselves to a LOT of wine
Psalm 104:15: "And wine that makes the heart of mortal man rejoice, To make the face shine with oil, And bread that sustains the very heart of mortal man."
Isaiah 55:1: "Hey there, all YOU thirsty ones! Come to the water. And the ones that have no money! Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk even without money and without price"
John 2:7-10: "7 Jesus said to them: “Fill the water jars with water.” And they filled them to the brim. 8 And he said to them: “Draw some out now and take it to the director of the feast.” So they took it. 9 When, now, the director of the feast tasted the water that had been turned into wine but did not know what its source was, although those ministering who had drawn out the water knew, the director of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him: “Every other man puts out the fine wine first, and when people are intoxicated, the inferior. You have reserved the fine wine until now.”
Even Jesus turned water into wine.
And you are right, it is not good to become highly intoxicated, or to be a drunkard, but the Bible makes a distinction between the two...
Proverbs 23:21; "For a drunkard and a glutton will come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe one with mere rags."
1 Corinthians 5:11: "11 But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man."
1 Corinthians 6:10: "nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom."

Well, it could be wrong for someone who is an alcoholic and has a dependency on alcohol, but even every day for someone may be a bit much. I just have a glass of wine or a beer now and then or on a special occasion..

Jesus drank wine, and I actually heard once and im not posative... but I dont think they had alot of clean water in bible times so they drank more wine than anything else. Just avoid drunkeness or drinking to the point of doing or saying something foolish.

No, just dangerous. Moderation is difficult for a lot of people to maintain. I don't believe it is a sin to drink a beer or a glass of wine, but I think you are better off without it.

Drinking in moderation is no sin, why else would Jesus have changed water into wine in Caana, several hundreds of liters.

Not a Christian but I've studied Christianity, drinking in moderation, no, but underage drinking would be a sin as it would be breaking the law which Jesus supposedely told all followers to respect their leaders and obey the laws. Funny thing is, go to a site like myspace or something, and like 90% of underage Christians drink.

I am a Christian, and many of my Christian friends and I drink. Not to get drunk, just a few to be social. I have no problem with it. They drank wine in the bible!!!

No problem. We are not to get drunk, but Paul specifically says something that alcoholics often take out of context: 'Take a little wine for thy stomach's sake'.

No--
Christ turned water into wine. The Apostle Paul told Timothy "to take a little wine for thy stomach's sake". Abuse of this will put you into a more vunerable position that could be detrimental to you and your well being.
