Lol..i have a doubt...
i know boys are called as guys... but sometimes girls call a girls crowd as guys(there is no boys in that crowd)..& sometimes i've seen to denote a crowd(boys&girls) they say guys......
well, now coming to my question... does the girls and boys together are called guys?
which is right?

it does matter.. "guys" can be used when you are calling girls and boys. but when you want to be more formal use ladies.

If you walk into a room full of girls you can say, "hey guys" but if you are explaining that room of girls to another person you can't say "there was this room full of guys." Calling someone a guy implies that it is a man, but addressing girls as guys is alright.

When I have a gender mixed group of friends and I want to address them I call them "folks" instead of guys because it offends the girls. And because I LOVE saying "folks" it just sounds cool.. Saying "Hey shitebirds" gets their attention too.

well the word guys can be used just as a group of people not pertaining to just boys, it just means all you people so you can call a boy a guy, or use it in a group

guys can b useed in many ways i guess. guys can b used for w/e group of ppl, u just need to know the context clues to see which type of group is being talked about.
