While buying something at a local store I was at a cash register of this girl who works there. I frequent the store from time to time and have made friendly conversation with her before.
The store offers rebates for frequent customers and I never have my card so she has to look it up in their system. I leaned over the counter to look at my information and confirm it for her when I smelled what I thought was her perfume. I said "nice perfume", she initially seemed put off by it but smiled and laughed that she was not wearing perfume but that it may have been her shampoo. I immediately corrected myself and complimented her on her "nice shampoo". We both were laughing and I must say she turned a nice shade of pink.
My question is, would this come off as creepy or just genuine appreciation of a woman? Would most women appreciate a comment like this from someone who is essentially a total stranger?

There is nothing wrong with what you did. Many girls/women don't know how to respond or take a compliment, that's all. You probably made her day. And, you are to be commended for doing so!

If someone despatched me vegetation at paintings i'd imagine it grow to be so sweet. in case you bypass in per week, then i'm particular she's seen you in the previous and has a regular theory of who you're. ladies quite love this variety of stuff yet no longer sufficient adult men do it! basically keep going to the monetary company and doing what you often do and if she's there bypass as a lot as her and basically initiate talking about her. Ask her how her day as been and basically be fairly attracted to what she has to assert. :]

It's not creepy. It's actually cute and kinda romantic. She likes you, seeing that she blushed and all. If she didn't she would have just said thanks and let it finish at that. You may not know what that simple compliment did to her, She may have felt rejected and lonely and you may have brightened her day. Women appreciate those stuff. If you don't like her, back off with the compliments, but if you do, you're already in the game.

I dont think it would be creepy at all, it is a simple enough, innocent enough observation....secondly I really would not consider you a total stranger, more like passing aquaintance, which would make the comment perfectly acceptable.

genuine appreciation, i dont think its creepy at all. now if you said "that perfume reminds me of my dead mother, would u like to go out with me?" then that would be creepy.
