It's not that we don't want to be around them..but we are people too..we need time away and so do they.

I have no idea. Maybe they're just selfish. I've never understood it either. Perhaps because they think having kids is going to be easy and then when they're around 24/7 they get sick of them and wish they never had them in the first place.

Nothing is 100%. People have kids by accident. Or some may have the natural desire for children, but after they have one, they become overwhelmed. I know what you mean though. My sister in-law has 2 kids and she and her husband try to drop them off somewhere every chance they get. Neither of them play with their kids or try to teach them anything. They complain about being parents all the time. My sister in-law dropped off her daughter with my mother in-law to potty train her. Both of their kids were planned and she wants another. I feel sorry for their children.

This is primarily due to the fact that we live in a selfish society. Far too many people care only about themselves. Far too many parents lack the common sense and good decision-making ability to be good parents.
We live in a society that promotes selfishness, self-indulgence and greed above everything else.
When parents need to live up to their responsibilities and put their faith in the Lord.

I love my son with all my heart and there are just times that I have to be by myself. It is natural to feel this way. I am glad when he is at school.. but just as happy to pick him up from school and see his smiling face. Some people have more patience and can handle being around their kids 24/7. I am the 1st to admit.. I can not do that and will not make my son unhappy by fussing at him. So I think you are a wonderful person to do what you do all day. Good luck and hope that you can understand that everyone is different.

Parents today are to fast paced and they don`t want to take time to slow down and spend time with their kids. It`s like give them money to go shopping, to a friends, to a movie or just somewhere so they don`t have to put up with them. Your kids can be very thankful that they have a Mom that wants to do things with them. You are one in a MILLION. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

I just don't know how to answer that question because I also have 6 children that I homeschool. I don't feel the need to be sitting on top of my children all day, but I don't see the point of having them to then turn around and give them to someone else to mold their behaviours and attitudes for most of their waking days.
Perhaps they still follow that "peer pressure" attitude they had in school and only have children to keep up with the jones'?
