I am suffering with internal bleeding on my right kidney, and have been since the last week of October last year. This causes swelling on my back, traces of blood in my urine (can't see red blood, yet the urine is cloudy and brighter, my GP tested it and told me it's blood). It is getting slowly more and more painful every day, I have seen 8 doctors at my local GP's surgery, I have had 2 scans, and am awaiting the result of a blood test. However, I am sick to death of waiting, as each step is taken weeks apart, scans are booked 2 months in advance, etc. This internal bleeding is causing me to miss work (I work 12 miles away from home and have to catch a bus) and whenever I am at work it is really troublesome and inconvenient if I need to dash off if I have an appointment. Any advice on what I can do? Should I miss out work altogether until it's sorted?

jassays, I have reported you for abuse. If you realised how serious internal bleeding is, you'd be more sympathetic. YOU are the one posting for attention, and congratulations, you got it. I would appreciate it if you and sawyer would stop the arguing, I have enough of that at home. Thank you for your help, sawyer, and everyone else for that matter. except jassays.

oh my gosh! My older brother had the same thing that you have right now . He had to go to the hospital and get a kidney transplant because his kidneys were letting his blood go instead of the kidney gathering the blood and putting it back in your veins. I know that you don't really want to hear this but you could possibly die if that blood test don't come in soon. GO TO THE HOSPITAL NOW!!! TELL THEM HOW LONG THAT YOU HAVE HAD INTERNAL BLEEDING!!! THEY ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT CAN HELP!!!

Sounds to me like you should be in the hospital. I would check myself into the emergency room of a good hospital. Not the one your GP is at because he has no clue. They should be doing all these tests on you in the hospital and not making you wait so long. Yes, you need to miss out of work before you can't work at all.
God Bless
