The only 2 dogs I can think of at the moment are the little hairless ones, and a poodle which comes in toy, medium and standard. They dont moult at all thats why the need their coat trimming, but not in a silly way like some people have them. They are exellent house dogs, good with children and very protective. Just because it is called a poodle dont underestimate it. the smaller ones were originally bred in france for hunting and the bigger ones were used for guard dogs. They have a fantastic personality and are a good all round dog. I was a dog breeder.

If your worried about moulting because of allergies the fair enough find one that doesn't moult but if that isn't the reason then maybe you shouldn't have one also all it takes is good training the dogs only as good as its owner
you wouldn't specify that you wanted a baby that caused no probs so dont do it with a dog
just open your heart at a rescue and make a poor dog happy
we have great danes.
Danes love kids and only have lots of love to give
contrary to beliefe they dont eat much ours cost approx £15 per week for the pair and they dont need lots of exercise
but love their beds and a warm hug
if you consider a great dane then contact

Well no puppy comes to you knowing not to wreck the house,it takes training for that to happen. As for a medium sized non moulting dog, theres the mini schnauzer or standard schnauzer,or the miniature poodle, smaller breeds are the bichon frise, and alot of toy breeds. All dogs can be good with kids if raised right from a young age.

Hypoallergenic dog breeds
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are various coat types that are said to produce fewer allergens: single-coated dogs, who do not have a thick undercoat; dogs whose coat continues to grow, like human hair, rather than shedding regularly; and hairless dogs. These breeds usually shed less dander and hair and are, therefore, considered hypoallergenic. However, even hairless dogs can produce enough dander to affect a highly allergic person.
List of hypoallergenic breeds:
Single-coated breeds:
Afghan Hound
Australian Terrier
Basenji
Bedlington Terrier
Bichon (all types)
Bichon Frisé
Bolognese (dog)
Border Terrier
Bouvier des Flandres
Cairn terrier (may or may not be hypoallergenic- do more research before adopting one)
Chinese Crested (hairless)
Coton de Tulear
German Shorthaired Pointer
Greyhound
Havanese
Irish Water Spaniel
Italian Greyhound
Kerry Blue Terrier
Lowchen
Lhasa Apso
Maltese
Native American Indian Dog
Poodles (all sizes)
Poodle hybrids
Portuguese Water Dog
Schnauzer (all sizes)
Shih Tzu
Silky Terrier
Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier
Spanish Water Dog
Hairless breeds:
American Hairless Terrier
Chinese Crested (hairless)
Mexican Hairless Dog (Xoloitzcuintli)
Peruvian Hairless Dog

I recommend going on the above link and checking out the breed information as each of the above has a link of its own. Enjoy.

Standard Schnauzer, I was looking for a medium size dog that doesn't lose hair, and I brought a standard schnauzer, and she is perfect, doesn't really lose hair, not to manic, but will play when every you ready, good with kids (I have 4 year old boy!! need I say more???) and she is smart, she has never wrecked my home but I do put her in create when I go out, all puppies will chew so create good idea, I have owned all sorts of dogs from Rottweiler/Shih tzu/cocker spaniel and I find this breed really lovely. if you go to pet-planet you can look up all sorts of breeds.
Best of Luck

any dog can be brought up to respect kids, just as long as the kids are taught to respect the dog! as for moulting most dogs will moult! any dog with a 'curly' coat, such as poodles, bichons etc, do moult, especially when you groom them-i know i used to groom dogs that were boarded when i worked in kennels-it just doesnt 'fall' out like most, but they will still need to be taken to the groomers every six weeks or so for a 'professional' haircut! which can cost anything from £40.00 up! also any dog can wreck the house, especially if they dont have enough exercise or are bored etc it really is a matter of taste-i like cocker spaniels, but they need a lot of exercise, can be very clingy, can wreck the house, doesnt actually shed hair everywhere, as they have very silky hair that needs constant grooming to keep it knot and shed free but they love kids but are small/medium size.

Sorry, but I have to be totally honest. You shouldn't own a dog. They are really hard work, and you don't sound like you would put enough into it. It would be too inconvenient for you. It would be so very unfair to the dog.
