I hate it when I go into a cafe and.....
Mine would be...... I ask for a black coffee and they always give me a little jug of milk.
or.... they offer "Baked" potatoes and they are cooked in a microwave.
Why don't they just tell the truth and say... "Microwaved Potatoes"?

and i get served by someone who doesnt understand english if your from a foreign country and dont have much english find a job where you dont need to speak a lot of english if i was foreign i wouldnt dream of working with a lot of natives until i could speak the language pretty well

I hate going in to any restaurant that has a sign up that says
"please wait to be seated" when there are lots of empty tables in plain sight, and nobody seems to show up to seat me. I sometimes ignore the sign if I'm made to wait over 3 minutes.
"Microwaved potatoes" doesn't sound as appetizing as "baked"/

i hate it when you go in a cafe and u ask 4chips and they r allways the crap frozen chips with the little black eyes, allso when u sit down to have a cuppa and u take ur child in 4a little dinner and then u get old grannies looking at ur kid saying how cute she is while they light up cigerettes one after another. dont get me wrong i smoke to but never in same room as my child and i wouldnt dream of lighting up infront of any child.

One of my pet peeves is paper and Styrofoam cups. Even a lot of otherwise nice places- i.e. good food, nice decor, friendly service, etc- seem to steer clear of actual ceramic cups and actual silverware. Another gripe is when espresso is served lukewarm, in a ridiculously over-sized cup (made of paper or Styrofoam, needless to say.)

In the microwave theme--... they bring hot bread that has been microwaved and it turns to stone in a few minutes.
...they have stupid names for the sizes of their coffee drinks (Starbucks specific)
...their "steamed" milk is boiled until it's dangerous.

its the same for me when i ask for a black tea (im allergic to milk) they look at me as if ive lost it and those so called baked potatos are awfull

It cant be that hard to boil milk they charge enough for it

I can deal with just about anything going out for a meal EXCEPT:
Getting an obnoxious/arrogant/ inefficient server.............That just drives me nuts. I've almost walked out a couple times because of it..........Hell, if they don't like their job, why are they working there??????????
