ACA stands for the American Canine Association. It does not have the same standards as the AKC or the same prestige. To join you simply have to "include the name of you dog, the colors of your dog, and the gender of your dog on the front of the form. Then, fill in your personal information, such as name, address, and telephone number" so this doesn't really guarantee that the dog is purebred. Puppy mills and the like can make their dogs look more appealing by saying they are ACA certified because people will think they are a quality dog if they are certified.

ACA is (one more) puppy mill-friendly registry = junk.

p.s. there is no such thing as an AKC 'miniature' Beagle, either. Just Beagle, shown in different size classes.

ACA is a scam registry. Any papers from there are worthless.

It is the registrey most pet stores, commercial breeders and alot of BYB's and Puppymills use.

Does not guarantee your dog is a purebred. Hope it didn't come from Mo.
