Saveyourself some time and just skin them. It is way faster than plucking.

you can put them in boiling water and then pluck all the feathers off which is just nasty and smelly, or you can do it the way we do and skin them. Yes skin them. Most people do not realize but you can remove the feather with the outer skin layer. We have done this for years on Turkeys. It works great. I have never skinned a duck but I have partridge, woodcock, turkey and geese and it works like a charm. Just start on the belly side and skin out the breast, it is a little tricky around the wings but once you start you will see the most logical path.

If you wish for no hastle then skin them.
Other wise take hold of them by the head with one hand and with the othere take hold of the brest fethers and pull them down towards the ground, ounce the feathers have been removed from the chest you can see what you have to work with,,, Away you go.
Using hot water first spoils the meat in my opinion, any bird is always best ploeted whilst its still warm.

if you get them drunk enough and play some jazz, preferably coletrane, you might get them to take their feathers off on their own...
