I once had a minor accident while at work, and ever since that I've got a sore leg (sometimes). It doesn't effect me that much, I'm just a little 'grouchy' when my leg hurts. Is that a turn off for women ? I've asked this before, I know, but I did not have much answers on my question back then. It's not that I'm looking for someone, but I was interested in whether or not, if ever I find someone, I'd have to mention it or rather keep it silent.

Tell the woman about this, but don't tell her on a first date. Give her a chance to get to know you a bit and to already have a positive impression about you. Then tell her, because if you don't forewarn her and you suddenly bite her head off due to leg pain, she is going to think "RED FLAG - RUN" if she is not already expecting it. Now I deal with migraines. I have had them for over 25 years (I'm 45). The pain can be excruciating. My son is 17 and he had a back injury about 3 years ago from skateboarding. He has frequent severe back pain. Neither one of us is so grouchy that we have to prepare people ahead of time to watch out for us when we are in pain. Everybody's pain tolerance is different. It appears that you have a lower pain threshhold, which makes it difficult to cope, and therefore grouchy. It's understandable. However, if the pain is causing a disruption in your life to the point of ruining relationships, you might want to consider going to a pain clinic, talking to your doctor about effective pain medication, or talk to your Human Resources Department about your chronic pain. Because the injury happened on the job, it is a Workers Comp case. The Workers Comp adjuster can approve or deny further treatment, but often you have to get approval before going back to the doctor who treated you, if you don't want to have to pay out of your pocket (I used to work for a medical equipment provider which dealt with insurance adjusters). You could ask your doctor to prescribe a TENS unit for you (Transcutaneous Electrical NeuroStimulator unit). These devices deliver mild electrical currents to the area of chronic pain. With time, you can actually have considerable pain relief. These units cost $75-$250, depending upon the brand, and where you obtain one, and they can only be obtained by doctor's prescription. Only a doctor can tell you if this would be appropriate for you. Still, I have worked for a company that provides these units and have seen many patients report considerable pain relief. It's just something to check into. Good luck with this.

P.S. - Chronic pain, illness or disability are not turnoffs for me. Frequent grouchiness is though. That's why I think you should try to look into better pain relief. You will be happier for it.

If the soreness makes you grouchy and you may unintentionally take it out on your partner, then yes you should tell her but not right off. I hope you claimed against your employer for the accident if you're having ongoing problems.

You don't have to say anything, one day it will give you a hard time and then if she asks just tell her what happened and that the leg bothers you sometimes. she will understand.

I don't see why that would be a turn off for women. I know I wouldn't care.
