If you are talking about heavyweights it would be Marciano, Jack Johnson, Joe Louis you pick em. They were all good. If you are talking about overall boxers then Ray Robinson and Willie Pep are next.

Rocky Marciano, stats talk. He's never been beaten. The computer fight between him and Ali had Rocky winning. Also, Roy Jones in his prime. He's very far from that now. But he was unstoppable in his prime. He had a 3 year streak where none of his fights even went the full 12.

if you mean just for heavyweight than probably joe louis, but if you mean the greatest boxer of all time out of all boxers, it would be sugar ray robinson. ali said that he was the greatest heavyweight ever but that sugar ray robinson was the greatest fighter out of all the boxers.

The greatest of all boxers would have been "Tony Ayala Jr"......yes, probably the biggest scumbag to have ever been in the ring but when he was on....no one, absolutely no one would have touched him......Duran,Leonard,Hagler,dela Hoya, Hearns would have all been literally distroyed by him.....of course everyone that knows anything about this man will answer me back with......"he destroyed himself instead"......Tony Ayala Jr aka "The Ragin Bull"....pound for pound the greatest boxer that "never" was.....his waste along with Duran"s "No mas" my biggest disapointment in following boxing!!
