...Polygamy for these benefits?
Automatic childcare in a sexist society gives women more effective choice to have a career without devaluing the role of homemaker. Being able to marry men who are already married means that women can marry men who have already proved themselves, therefore minimising their risk. Being able to marry the men who attract most women means they don't have to settle just for what's left after other women have the best pickings.
Having the possibility that a husband can remarry without divorce extends practical security to a woman. She needn't worry about losing her husband and income as she loses her looks, because if her husband is attracted by a younger woman, he doesn't even have to think about leaving his wife. Polygamy removes the pressure on a husband to commit adultery, and removes damaging deceit from a marriage. Polygamy provides a method where a woman can have a female friend for life as well as a husband.

I would only consider that if I was unable to think for myself. I think you give women too much credit for picking a good husband. You also give no credit to a man at all for being able to be faithful to one woman. All the examples you gave are of disrespectful people. You never even mention love. That's why it belongs in islam or some other cult belief and not in Christianity. One man and one woman for life. My husband is the love of my life and I'm his. We are also best friends. That's the way it's supposed to be.
May God Bless you.

Except that...
In a house with two or more women, there are two or more ways to organize the household and this gets complicated and confusing. Two women should never manage the same kitchen! It's just not good politics on the part of the man.
I have friends for life, and part of what makes my friendship strong is that at the end of the "lunch" or "coffee" date, we go our separate ways.
There are more good men around than just the "fertile few". Why should a man have to "prove himself" in order to be considered a good provider? By hooking all the women up with one man, you neglect the other men who also deserve companionship, spouses and a chance to LEARN what a family is all about. This is demeaning to men.
Moreover, any woman subjecting herself to your system is devaluing herself and making herself more worthless. Who would want to be a "second" or a "third" wife? Society is not kind to second wives, even in the case of a divorce. This is a bad idea...counterproductive to raising a good family, counterproductive to providing a happy home, a safe home, a stable and loving marriage. Jealousies are inevitable.
Besides...what man in his right mind would want to listen to TWO nagging women?

That is a pathetically weak attempt to justify disbelief in Christianity. For the part about women submitting it neglects to mention the husband's role in marriage, namely that he is to love his wife as Christ loved the church and in that case all of the terrible things mentioned would not happen, the part about women staying quiet in church is for a specific church in an area that had a well known female prostitution temple and was designed to keep outsiders from saying that Christianity was the same, it was not directed to all women at all times in all locations. The part about the sorrows leaves off the part about the man's troubles. Also anybody who claims that women are to blame for the introduction of sin neglect even the name of the event, Adam's sin, God clearly set the blame for sin at Adam's feet. You can only get these kinds of skewed perspectives without full context of the situation or the scripture.

I was a very jealous woman when I was younger. I could probably accept those conditions now as an older woman, but how would I get the attention I needed? It would always be an exercise in diplomacy, and that is tiresome. I'm happy with what I have.

This may all sound very logical but somehow it does not sit well in my spirit and doesn't witness to my heart according to the scriptures of the New Testament where it says nothing about polygamy but it does mention adultery and fornication.

I guess if the only reason you marry is to have security and a nice steady income, then go for it.
If you would think of a husband as "what's left" then you probably shouldn't bother, though.
What a bizarre outlook.

Benefits my asz. You left out the fact that not only is polygamy illegal but that most of these men are not "marrying" other "women" they are "marrying" little girls.
Sick.
